How the idea works

Create a password card and choose a secret pattern

You can read your passwords using your secret pattern.

E-PasswordCard generates your personal password card

The combination of letters, numbers, and symbols on your card is your personal starting point for secure passwords.

You choose a secret pattern that you can use for all your passwords

The same pattern works for all logins, but each password starts at a different position on your card.

You read your password from the card using your pattern

Even if someone sees your password card, they cannot read your passwords without your secret pattern.

E-PasswordCard is very easy to use

When you first start E-PasswordCard, your personal password card is created. Assume you choose a staircase shape with 10 fields as your personal pattern. Now you need a password to log in to doodle.com.

Step 1: Find the start position

Go to the first letter of your password on your password card

"Doodle" starts with "D" and has six letters. So go to field "D6" on your password card. The character at D6, and therefore the first character of your password, is "W".

Read your password from the card using your pattern

Place the start of your pattern on the "W". Follow your pattern to read the rest of your password from the card: "Wfjvm8RwNx".

Think of a simple rule to personalize your password even more, for example by adding a fixed character in the second and second-to-last positions, such as a capital X in the second and "-" in the second-to-last.

Stay independent

You remain independent even though you use the E-PasswordCard app.

The E-PasswordCard app does not store passwords

You can use the E-PasswordCard app together with other password managers.

With the assistant, you can simply enter your pattern and the website name to find the password.
